We were in Portugal to drive Peugeot's GTI fighter. We had the chance to drive the vehicle both on the public road and on the track. The gentle roads of rural Portugal gave us a great idea of how the car is to live with as a daily driver, but can it deliver performance thrills that are the bread and butter of this segment?
The hot hatch segment also demands that a vehicle look the part, while not being seen as childish so this Peugeot has its work cut out for it.
First impressions are good as you'll see below, but we'll have to put the Peugeot 308 GTI against the Ford Focus ST, Renault Megane RS265 Lux and Volkswagen GTI together for a group test to see how it really fares.
