These are the most common problems or issues that you may have when you buy a 1st gen Toyota Tundra. The First Generation Toyota Tundra is extremely reliable, but that doesn't mean it isn't prone to a few issues. The truck benefits a lot from some good preventative maintenance - make sure to check you lower ball joints, timing belt, and radiator before they fail on you!
