Of course there's faster ways of actually getting cold hard cash in the game, but this Spectral Sword in the Anti-Chapel serves a few uses. It's fast exp, good specifically for gem-hunting and hunting gems while making money and/or farming the sword's Gurthang and Mablung Sword, and fun to dodge.
And depending on your luck with the gems, getting enough Aquamarines can make this method rival the Colosseum. It's certainly more fun.
But what kind of crazy person would bother farming for 99 of every gem and buying 99 Duplicators for $500,000 a piece? Well, aside from me, I mean. I already know I'm loco.
