Check out this simple pork and prawn gyoza recipe to try at home. It has crispy skin outside and juicy filling inside. This video shows you how to wrap gyoza and demonstrates the perfect way to cook pork and prawn gyoza.

📋 Ingredients:
For the gyoza:
Gyoza wrappers - 1 package
Ground pork - 170g
Prawn, shelled and deveined - 170g
Cabbage - 130g
Shitake mushrooms - 2
Green onions - 3
Garlic, minced - 1 clove
Ginger, grated - 5g
Soy sauce - 1 tsp
Sake - 1 tsp
Sesame oil - 1 tsp
Ground black pepper - 1/8 tsp
Salt - 1/4 tsp

For the dipping sauce:
Soy sauce - 1 tbsp
Vinegar - 1/2 tsp

For frying the gyoza:
Oil - 1 tbsp
Water - 1/3 cup

👩‍🍳 Instructions:
1) In a large bowl, combine all the ingredients. Mix well with your hands.
2) Place a gyoza wrapper on your palm. Dip your finger into the water and run it along the perimeter of the wrapper. Place 1.5 tbsp of filling on the wrapper and pinch the top.
3) Dip your finger into the water again and draw a semi-circle around the outer of the wrapper. Create 3 pleats from the center to the right side. Then, create 3 pleats from the center to the left side.
4) To store, place the gyoza on a parchment-lined baking sheet, cover with plastic wrap and freeze for 2 hours. Then, store the frozen gyoza in an airtight bag in your freezer.
5) To cook gyoza, heat the oil in a large non-stick frying pan over medium-high heat. When the pan is hot, place about 12 gyoza in a single layer, flat side down. Cook until the underside is lightly golden, then pour 1/3 cup of water around the gyoza and place the lid on. Cook until the water has completely evaporated and the wrapper is slightly translucent on top (3-4 mins).
