Covert narcissist who uses crazymaking communications and the narcissist's secret weapon. Covert narcissists use particular communication styles to keep people stuck. Covert narcissists who use crazy-making communication, do so to throw you off balance, scramble your mind, and keep you exasperated and emotionally drained. Their word salads mean absolutely nothing and have been created to keep you from finding the strength to move on.
The communication style of a narcissist has nothing to do with logic and reason. The narcissist parent, for instance, uses crazymaking to undermine the adult child's sense of self. Narcissists will use sob stories to draw you in, and abuse your empathy for them while undermining your sense of reality.
