This stage saw Lance secure the 2003 Tour de France. His arch enemy, Ulrich, attacked and dropped him on the penultimate climb. It looked bad for Armstrong. Arriving at the foot of the Luz Ardiden climb Mayo attacked with Armstrong in pursuit until...BOOM a crash. Despite this accident Armstrong got back on his bike, chased back onto the group, dropped the group and rode solo to victory. A true #cyclinglegend
