Blazers - You'll find a full selection of blazers here. Remember, these are investment pieces. So prepare to invest in one that is versatile and good quality. You might check thrift stores and consignment stores for better prices on slightly used items.

Nude pumps or flats - While I mentioned not wearing round toe shoes, you actually can if they are still elegant shoes. You just want these shoes to be dressy enough to elevate an outfit. Classic cardigan - Your cardigan doesn't have to be a traditional button-up cardigan, but those do stand the test of time. Look for one that can serve multiple purposes.

Classic Jeans - If you have multiple pairs of jeans, then definitely have a variety in your closet. But if you only have one pair, I suggest some in either a straight or bootcut silhouette and in a dark or maybe medium wash. They can be full length or ankle, depending on your preference and climate.
