Set Up a Hammock without Trees (HOW TO)

UPDATE -  I changed the lines to Spectra/Dyneema/Amsteel(any of those work, I use Amsteel blue) line and it's even better now. I also made some aluminum poles from an old ladder that are lighter and work better. Just cut off the steps and made them 48" high. You can use better stakes too I've changed to some longer titanium tent stakes or some steel snow/sand stakes and they work great too depending on ground hardness.

If you have no trees how do you use your hammock? I have a way if you are car camping, if you are hiking substitute the wooden dowels for aluminum poles 1" diameter. I always carry a hammock for sleeping or just camp lounging. Hope this helps.
