ALWAYS MAKE SURE ENGINE IS COOL BEFORE REMOVING RADIATOR CAP! REMOVING THE RADIATOR CAP WHILE THE ENGINE IS HOT CAN CAUSE COOLANT TO SPRAY OUT, SERIOUSLY SCALDING YOU! I AM NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR ANY INJURIES. PROCEED AT YOUR OWN RISK WITH CAUTION.

My recommendations to ensure a long lasting engine:
- Never let your antifreeze/coolant get dark or dirty
- Never let your coolant reservoir fluid level get below the MIN fill line
- Change your coolant every 60,000 miles or 5 years whichever comes first
- Never add any rust inhibitors or additives to your car's cooling system as there's a good chance they will not be compatible with the coolant or engine components
- Only use Genuine Honda All Season Antifreeze/Coolant Type 2! It's made very specifically for our aluminum engines to prevent corrosion and deposits in the cooling system. Seeing how this only needs to be done once every 5 years, it's worth the extra $10 over cheaper brands.
- If another brand of coolant is to be used, make sure to use a non-silicate coolant recommended for aluminum engines with a mixture of 50% antifreeze and 50% water.
