AV canal defect is a congenital heart disease in which there is incomplete fusion of endocardial cushions. In AV canal defect there is high ventricular septal defect continuous with low atrial septal defect and large AV valve. AV canal defect is most common congenital heart condition in children with Down Syndrome.
