When I talk about "triggers," I don't mean the common usage that means "things that make me uncomfortable." I'm talking about stimuli (internal and external) that launch a  neurological reaction resulting in dysregulation. So long as your triggers are active, your trauma symptoms will follow within moments. One of the most important things you can do to heal rom Childhood PTSD and CPTSD is to learn to recognize and calm your triggers.
