Port Whitney and Rosenman, Tim Share Your Tragic Story of a Missing Baby in an Emotional Podcast Episode
Whitney Port and Tim Rosenman, reality TV stars, recently opened up about their tragedy of two losses while trying to conceive a second child via surrogacy. The pair discussed their "very long" and difficult path to parenthood on a recent edition of "With Whit," Port's podcast, where they acknowledged the terrible losses.
Despite having a 97% likelihood of a successful pregnancy, Port, who is famous for her role in "The Hills," revealed that they had two miscarriages, the second of which occurred at seven and a half weeks. Despite worrying that there may be problems with the surrogate or the embryos, the couple is determined to continue trying to grow their family.
While Port and Rosenman prepare for a second egg extraction, they will use one of the existing embryos as a surrogate, acknowledging the limitations of their situation. Port was grateful for Rosenman's constant support and partnership throughout this difficult time.
The couple has experienced infertility issues before. Port, 38, had a chemical pregnancy in addition to her three prior miscarriages that occurred between 2019 and 2021. Port has openly discussed her complicated emotions, expressing worries about her self-esteem, confidence, and the difficulty of providing for her family, which is understandable given the impact these losses have had on her.
They tied the knot in November 2015 and almost two years later, they welcomed a son named Sonny into the world. Port had more challenges after Sonny was born, such as considering surrogacy to give their son a brother.
The recent discovery by Port and Rosenman further complicates their fertility journey, but it also highlights the couple's tenacity and resolve as they face the challenges of starting a family. Port continues to have faith in surrogacy as a viable option; she sees it as a huge blessing if it works out. The couple's candor about their difficulties helps those going through the same thing and brings attention to the mental and emotional toll that infertility can take.
In the midst of their own struggles, Port addressed comments made about her weight, stressing that her encouraging dietician does not suspect an eating disorder but rather despair. In spite of everything, the couple is still very much together, and they're sharing their story in the hopes that it will encourage others who are going through the same things.
