Our product specialist Alex demonstrating Park Pilot Assist on the New XC60. We have recorded the Park Pilot Assist demonstration outside the vehicle and also inside for a clear view on how this works.
Park Assist Pilot checks first if a space is sufficiently big and thereafter helps the driver to turn the steering wheel and manoeuvre the car into the space.
The centre display indicates with symbols, graphics and text the various operations to be carried out and when to do so.
Park Assist Pilot offers automatic reversing into a parking bay as well as entering and exiting a parallel parking spot.
The functionality takes over and operates the steering wheel while the driver handles the gearbox and controls the car’s speed. The display guides the driver step by step via texts and animations in the instrument cluster until the car is parked.
