A police arrest team arrested two people in Biervliet after reports were received about an armed man on the street around 8:30 am.
In a house on Gentsestraat, officers found 'a long weapon' and two suspects were arrested just before noon. "We do not yet know exactly what type of weapon it is, and whether it is real or fake," said a police spokeswoman. "That's why we're going to stick with a 'long weapon' for the time being."
