HOW TO MAKE FALOODA PUDDING || Set Faluda Dessert with China Grass || Agar Agar Pudding Two Ways!

In this video, we show you How To Make Falooda Pudding. This is a Set Faluda Dessert with China Grass (also known as Agar Agar). This Falooda Pudding is super delicious and features in our household every Ramadan since my mother grew up eating this in Tanzania. This type of Falooda Dessert is popular in East Africa, the Subcontinent and also the Far East. Here we show you how to make Agar Agar Pudding Two Ways!

To make the Faluda Pudding Dessert, you will need:
12g China Grass (Agar Agar)
1 cup hot water
1200ml milk
1 tsp cardamom powder

Pink Rose Flavour Faluda:
1 tbs rose syrup

Green Faluda:
Pinch of food colour
4 tbs sugar (or as per your taste)
You can also add 1 tsp vanilla extract if you like, but this is the authentic way my mum grew up enjoying it from Tanzania.

Garnish with chopped almonds or pistachios, and dried rose petals or buds.
Best served chilled.

We have been having this Faluda Dessert ever since we can remember. It is a sweet milk pudding, set like a jelly, and delicately flavoured. It is super delicious when served chilled. You can serve the china grass pudding in cups, bowls or jelly moulds. You can also set the agar agar dessert in a tray then cut it into square or diamond shapes.
