What Happened To Oliver Cromwell's Body?

Oliver Cromwell was seen as one of the leading figures in the English Civil War and the execution of King Charles I. But after he died, his remains were interred inside of Westminster Abbey, but they were not left there for long. Cromwell's remains were subjected to a posthumous execution and these were then dug up, before they were taken to Tyburn where they were hanged in chains, and then beheaded.

But Oliver Cromwell's head would go on a remarkable journey, but the story of Cromwell's body is a mystery and it is one that has yet to have been answered. Following the execution it's believed his daughter collected his body and then buried it in a place close to her.
