We all think we know
We all think we know what a black hole is. But many people have misconceptions about them. Here are a few examples:
One: All black holes are very big. Wrong. While there are large black holes, they're quite rare. Most black holes in the universe might not even be ten times the size of our moon.
Two: All black holes have a very large mass. Wrong. Black holes don't necessarily need to have an extremely large mass. There are many stars with a greater mass than a black hole. Additionally, there could even be black holes with very little mass. Theoretically, there could even be black holes with the mass of you or me.
Three: The density of black holes is infinite. Wrong. While black holes generally have a high density, it's never infinite. There are also black holes with a very low density. Some black holes might even have a lower density than our atmosphere.
Four: Black holes suck everything in. Wrong. Black holes only pull in objects that get too close. Many stars safely orbit black holes. Even if our sun turned into a black hole, it wouldn't affect the orbits of the planets in our solar system in any way.
In addition to these misconceptions, there's a question that's lingered in many minds for a long time: how does a black hole's gravity affect light, which has no mass?
The goal of today's video is to clear up these doubts and misconceptions and to truly understand the concept of a black hole.

ഒരു ബ്ലാക്ക് ഹോൾ എന്താണെന്ന് നമുക്കെല്ലാവർക്കും അറിയാം . എന്നാൽ ബ്ലാക്ക് ഹോളുകളെ കുറിച്ച് പലരുടെയും മനസ്സിൽ ഒരുപാട് സംശയങ്ങളും തെറ്റിദ്ധാരണകൾ ഉണ്ട്. ഉദാഹരണം പറയുകയാണെങ്കില്
ഒന്ന് ബ്ലാക്ക് ഹോളുകൾ ഒക്കെ വളരെ വലുതായിരിക്കും. തെറ്റ്. വലിയ ബ്ലാക്ക് ഹോളുകൾ ഉണ്ടെങ്കിലും അവ എണ്ണത്തിൽ വളരെ കുറവാണ്. ലോകത്തെ മിക്കവാറും ബ്ലാക്ക് ഹോളുകൾക്ക് നമ്മുടെ ചന്ദ്രൻറെ പത്തിലൊന്ന് വലിപ്പം പോലും ഉണ്ടായിരിക്കില്ല.
രണ്ട് ബ്ലാക്ക് ഹോളുകൾക്കൊക്കെ മാസ്സ് വളരെ കൂടുതലായിരിക്കും. തെറ്റ്. ബ്ലാക്‌ഹോളുകൾക്ക് വളരെ അതികം മാസ്സ് ഉണ്ടായിരിക്കണം എന്ന് നിർബന്ധമില്ല. ബ്ലാക്ക് ഹോളുകളേക്കാൾ മാസ്സ് കൂടുതലുള്ള നക്ഷത്രങ്ങൾ ഒരുപാടുണ്ട്. മാത്രമല്ല തീരെ മാസ്സ് കുറഞ്ഞ ബ്ലാക്‌ഹോളുകളും ഉണ്ടാകാം. Theoretically, എൻറെയും നിങ്ങളുടെയും ഒക്കെ മാസ്സ് ഉള്ള ബ്ലാക്ക്‌ഹോളുകൾ വരെ ഉണ്ടാകാം.
