Origin: Madagascar (Blue Sapphire) and Mozambique (Ruby)
A very fine pair of blue sapphire and a ruby. (the color is even better in real and is a little difficult to capture on the camera/screen). Both these pieces have been spared of any treatments or heating and are 100% natural unheated corundum (sapphire and ruby).
The oval blue sapphire is mined from Madagascar and cut and polished in bangkok, Thailand. The color can be said to be vivid blue (intense cornflower blue) and very similar to top Kashmir sapphires color. It has a bright and open color which makes it appealing in all lighting conditions like during the day or during the evening.
The oval ruby is mined in Mozambique and cut and polished in bangkok, Thailand. The color can be said to be vivid red (like the Burmese pigeon's blood ruby), and it does have strong fluorescence just like it cousins from Mogok, Burma (Myanmar). Its bright red color with strong fluorescence makes it very appealing and its red truly stands out in all lighting conditions (unlike other rubies from Mozambique which are mostly very dark red)
