YOUR VOICE: Six-day week in Germany? "Not a good idea!" Street poll on Söder's proposal!
Bavaria's Prime Minister Markus Söder (57, CSU) has praised Greece's work ethic and is calling for more commitment from Germans. In an interview with "Bild am Sonntag", Söder said: "In Greece, for example, there is now a six-day week, while we are discussing a four-day week. We won't catch up like this. We have to work more again." Söder takes a critical view of Germany's economic situation and warns that the country is "unfortunately in the relegation zone" economically, while other countries are more successful economically.
The Minister President blamed the current federal government for the situation and criticized the lack of a clear strategy to solve the problems. In his view, less prosperity endangers the stability of democracy, which is reflected in the AfD's high poll ratings. Söder emphasized the need for economic liberation and compared the situation to soccer: "Finding the game through the fight."
These statements underline Söder's call for more willingness to work and a strong economic policy to put Germany back on the road to success and secure the country's stability.
