The Zhou couple has a 60 ㎡ apartment by the side of the middle ring, Shanghai. The height of their apartment is 3.8 meters, which would be a waste if they make it one-story but a bit too short for two-story structure. So they resorted to designer Shi Ning. Shi prised open the floor, hung up the bedroom, and sunk the living room, thereby giving them 30㎡ more storage room.
