#1 - The "text" parameter in the CODE function is compulsory and if left blank, the function returns a # VALUE error that can be readily solved by providing the function with a suitable character or string as a parameter.

#2 - The CODE function return type is a numerical value.

#3 - In excel it is the inverse of the CHAR function. The CHAR function returns from the numeric ASCII value the corresponding character.
