Record Piano | Mid Side Stereo | Using Shure MV88/MV88+

This video will show you how you can take advantage of recording your piano with Mid Side Stereo using your Shure MV88 (or MV88+). Mid Side is a professional studio technique that is used to enable engineers to change the Stereo Width of the recording after it has been made. As with everything, it really is a matter of personal taste as to how much you might wish to do this and there may be many occasions when the standard Stereo recording we looked at in previous videos on the Shure MV88 is preferable. However, this can be a very useful technique and, given the MV88/MV88+ allows us to do this with our phone, it is definitely worth exploring.
