Global Food Prices Drop in 2023 from Record Highs in 2022

Global food prices fell last year from record highs in 2022, according to a new report from U.N. Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO). It was the biggest drop in food commodity prices since 2015. The  FAO Food Price Index for 2023 was 13.7% lower than the 2022 average, with meat, dairy, and vegetable oil all decreasing.
