Winter is the best time to plant out your currant bushes. I'm planting a white, red and black currant. Whether you get your plants in a pot, or bare rooted (without any soil) they need to be planted in exactly the same way. Currants make wonderful jellies, jams, and if I get enough I might even try making some wine. Here's how I plant mine.
