भगवान् विष्णु वेदों में इतने महत्वपूर्ण नहीं है जितने वो विष्णु पुराण, गरुड़ पुराण, भागवत पुराण आदि में दर्शाये गए है। यह अटपटा सा लगता है कि वेद व्यास ने भगवान् विष्णु को वेदो में महत्वपूर्णता नहीं दी और खुद ही उनके बारे में कई पुराण लिख दिए। यह अकस्मात् नहीं परन्तु वैज्ञानिक है और इसे समझना आवश्यक है।
भगवान् विष्णु के तीन रूप है, महाविष्णु, शिरोदाश्रये विष्णु और गर्भदक्ष्याय विष्णु। मितेया कहते है कि भगवान् विष्णु वैश्विक है और उनके सभी अवतारों को समझने पर हमें उनका असली स्वरुप समझ में आएगा। ये अवतार चक्र ध्यान के सूचक है।
Lord Vishnu is an ordinary deity in Veds but is considered the Supreme Deity in Vedic derivatives like Purans and Upanishads. This differentiation is confusing for most minds. Miteiya says that this differentiation is not accidental but is scientifically designed. Lord Vishnu is existent in three forms namely Mahavishnu, Garbhodakshyay Vishnu and Psirodakshyay Vishnu.
To understand Lord Vishnu, we need to understand various avatars of Vishnu who are none but symbol of Chakra milestones in meditation.
