Using the example of a shirt, I will show how I do it. Here we will not increase the thing from 42 to 54 sizes. You just need to add a few centimeters.
- I tried on a shirt, buttoned it in front with difficulty, the bar diverges, I can’t raise my hands, the sleeves are narrow. More recently, the shirt was just right. I figured that I need to expand 10-12 cm.
- I ripped the side seams on the shelf. The sleeve was also ripped, not reaching the cuffs 5 cm.
- I prepared knitwear, in thickness it is the same as the fabric on the shirt.
- Cut out strips 7 cm wide, those that will be sewn to the sleeves at one end, narrowed. If the fabric allows the stripes can be made solid.
- I combined the knitted strip with the shirt, and it is necessary to align the bottom first so that there is no skew. Sewn on overlock. Seam smoothed out.
- The second side is better to sweep. At that stage, the shirt must be tried on to correct the shortcomings.
- After fitting, you can scribble.
- Now the shirt is in size, moderately loose, you can safely wear it.
You can change the size not only for shirts, but also for sweaters, t-shirts, dresses. Trousers, jeans and skirts can also be repaired.
