NELA Handloom and Silk Production
NELA Handloom and Silk Production Unit is set to organise a 75-day free training programme for weavers in Khasi Hills, in which 5 (five) slots are available for Garo Hills.
The training program will start in September once the registration is completed, wherein Weavers from BPL category will get the preference. It also includes free fooding and lodging.
Miss Coretta A Sangma, who owns a boutique in Tura and helps the artisans in Garo Hills, is coordinating for Garo Hills weavers for this program.
