I have a favorite spot on this farm. It's very shady in the summer. The grass grows a little longer. It's cool. It's quiet. In one paddock that borders this spot are three of the nicest horses who get along so beautifully. (At least that's always my observation.) One took a long time finding his herd. One is so sweet he could be a kid's horse. The other is a bit goofy, but still such a good guy. Recently, while out filming some morning scenes, I found them in the lushest, coolest spot in the paddock. They were the image of pure peacefulness. I made my way around to them and decided I wanted a perspective that would be up close and different. So I laid down right on the edge of the fence and shot from ground level. They were not one bit bothered. Ivan came by to nuzzle me, but I had to cut those bits. He's close enough for you to know it, though. So, I hope you enjoy these moments that I guess I could have kept for myself, but I know what these videos many to many of you. You've told me as much. I am certain this one will bring you as much peace as it did me. Headphones, if you have them, will put you right there with me.
