How To Fix Neff Dishwasher E15 Error Code - Meaning, Causes, & Solutions (Smooth Fix!). In this video tutorial I will show how to fix Neff Dishwasher E15 error code.

Error E15 indicates accumulated water in the appliance's base trough. The error is usually the result of the activation of a trigger switch. When water accumulates in the base trough, a polystyrene floater disc suspends on its surface; the more water accumulates, the higher the disc gets lifted. Eventually, the polystyrene reaches the trigger switch and activates it, displaying error E15.

The following are some of the common causes of E15 error:
Water in the base trough
Regardless of the source of the leaks, too much accumulation of water in the dishwasher's base trough will trigger error code E15. However, the accumulated water must be enough to lift the polystyrene floater before the trigger switch is activated.

Leaks
Dampness due to accumulated food debris in the washer's internal compartments may cause leaks, which accumulate in the base trough to cause error E15.

Now, let’s look at the best solutions you can apply to fix the E15 error
Prevent leaks
As aforementioned, leaks mainly emanate from the washer's internal compartments. Cleaning its compartments by removing any accumulated food debris will minimize leaks. To do this:
⦁ Turn the appliance off and disconnect it from the power source.
⦁ Scrub off any stuck food debris from its compartments.
⦁ Avoid damaging the rubber seal while scrubbing, as this will increase leakage.
⦁ Clean off the scrubbed areas with a brush and detergent.
⦁ Wipe the cleaned surfaces with a piece of cloth.

Drain the base trough
Draining the base trough will troubleshoot the E15 error, as this breaks contact between the polystyrene floater and the trigger switch. To do this:
⦁ Turn the appliance off and disconnect it from the Mains supply.
⦁ Open the door and unscrew its bottom and top screws securing the front panel to it.
⦁ Close the door and pool the front panel backward from the door's hinge area.
⦁ With the front panel removed, incline the washer backward with a wedge and pull back the base's front cover.
⦁ Unscrew the additional metallic cover to remove it.
⦁ Remove the insulation layer beneath the extra metallic cover to access the appliance’s base section.
⦁ With access to the base, pull the sensor upwards to unmount it from its support.
⦁ Remove the polystyrene disc.
⦁ Remove the accumulated water using a sponge or a towel.
⦁ Assemble back the appliance when all the water is removed.

Run a test program before closing the base access.
