Shockingly, 70% of educated men even in metropolitan areas said they feel uncomfortable talking about periods. And a staggering 75% of women said they feel awkward discussing periods even with their husbands.
But why is this the case? Perhaps it's because, aside from a few biology chapters, boys are never taught about menstrual periods in school. Discussions around periods can never be normalized unless both genders are educated and engaged in the conversation.
