When we read or hear about blind spots around our vehicles, most of the time they're referring to the ones that exist from your side mirrors and on back. But all vehicles also have front or forward blind spots that are caused by the windshield support structures, which are commonly known as ""A-Pillars". Over the years, these pillars have gotten larger and wider to make them stronger and improve their ability to protect the occupants of the vehicle in a rollover accident. But a side effect of their increased size is that they create bigger obstructions to a driver's vision, producing blind spot areas that can hide full-size vehicles, not to mention pedestrians, bicycles, and motorcycles.
