If the file causes an error or warning when importing into Premiere Pro CC, Kdenlive, Shotcut, Final Cut Pro X and other software, thisguideline can help fix it.
All you have to do is get Handbrake from http://handbrake.fr, download it, install it and drag your video file into it and press start.
Transcoding or re-encoding solves most problems you might have. If drag-and-drop doesn't work, just press "source" and select your video instead.
