Iranian Food Abgoosht is a Traditional Persian Food now cooked in a traditional stone Pot Dizi by these ingredients: "600 g lamb 5 cups water 1 yellow onion 2 fresh tomatoes 1 cup small white beans 1 cup chickpeas 1 cup red wine 2 tbsp tomato puree 2 pieces of dried limes 1 tsp turmeric 1 teaspoon cinnamon 2 potatoes of the variety 1 teaspoon salt 2 pinches of freshly ground black pepper" How to make Abgoosht? Add the beans to soak in plenty of cold water and let them stand for 8 hours. Cut the meat into smaller pieces. Place in a casserole (stone pot). Pour in water to cover the meat.
