When you're feeling too lazy to cook, this easy-to-make classic Aloo Matar comes in handy.

Aloo Matar Recipe:
Oil - 2 tbsp
Cumin - 2 tsp
Green Chilli - 2 nos
Garlic (finely chopped) - 2 nos
Ginger (finely chopped) - 1 inch
Onion (finely chopped) - 2 nos
Potato (diced) - 2 nos
Tomato (chopped) - 2 nos
Chilli Powder - ½ tsp
Cumin Powder - ½ tsp
Coriander Powder - 1 tsp
Garam Masala - ½ tsp
Green Peas - ¾ Cup
Salt - ½ tsp
Sugar - ¼ tsp
Water - 2 Cups
Coriander Leaves - 1 tbsp + For Garnish

Cooking Instructions:

1. Heat  oil in a pan, add cumin, ginger, garlic, green chillies and let it crackle.
2. Add the onions saute till it turns light brown.
3. Add the masala powders and cook it for a minute on a low flame.
4. Add the potatoes, mix it well and let it fry on a high flame for 2 minutes while mixing continuously.
5. Add the tomatoes and saute till they get soft.
6. Add water, Mix it well. Cover and let it cook till the water almost evaporates.
7. Add the green peas when there is little water remaining. Mix it well.
8. Season the mixture with salt and sugar.
9. Add the chopped coriander leaves, mix it well.
10. Transfer it to a bowl, garnish it with a coriander sprig. Serve it got with rice/roti.
