Saudia was a prime operator
Saudia was a prime operator of the 747-300 the advanced form of the popular 747-200 with improved performance and a stretched upper deck. After receiving their first 743 in 1985, they were deployed on the prestigious routes to JFK, IAD and LHR among others.
Once, they featured a luxurious first class product with wide velvet seats trimmed with golden colors and Islamic designs on the walls. even after the introduction of the 747-400, the 300 remained my personal favorite to fly on and the 400 first class product was far inferior to the 300.
This is my tribute to the aircraft that I fell in love with as a young boy. The aircraft that I had flown with on routes including CAI, CMN, MNL, KUL, MCO, LHR, IAD and JFK.
Thank you Saudia 747-300. You'll be sorely missed.
