Dr. Jolene Garber discusses how C. jejuni, a bacteria species responsible for food poisoning, responds to human milk oligosaccharides and how understanding the bacterial response to carbohydrates helps researchers develop preventative and therapeutic options for illnesses causes by C. jejuni. Dr. Garber is a post-doctoral fellow at University of British Columbia Okanagan and Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada.
