To reach Sandwip from Dhaka or Chittagong, you can take a bus from Sayedabad or Kallyanpur to Kumira Stand. From there, take a rickshaw or auto-rickshaw to Kumira Stimer Ghat (also known as Boro Kumira). The fastest and most convenient way to get to Sandwip is by speedboat, which takes just a few minutes and costs about BDT 250. Alternatively, you can take a slower lunch or trawler (engine boat), which is more affordable but can get crowded with goods and other passengers.
Once you arrive on the island, you'll find a few places to stay in the main town near Enam-Nahar premises or in the Senerhat area. If you're into camping, check out the Sandwip Camping Club, a fun option for groups. There are also basic hotels, and with permission, you might be able to stay at the Upazila council dak bungalow.
