The Mopani Male lion coalition
The Mopani Male lion coalition with 3 cubs! Are the Golden boys looking over a pride?
That day - We went up on the H14 towards Mopani in search of Lions in the Northern Kruger. After searching for about 2 to 3 hours we got lucky. I spotted the black behind the mom's ears in the grass and then all of a sudden we saw the entire pride. The 3 Notorious Mopani males with 2 lionesses and 3 cubs. We sat with them for about 5 hours hoping that something will happen. Maybe they get up and we get a better visual. We got lucky as you probably saw in the previous video. We had an amazing visual of all 3 males and now we got amazing footage of the 3 cubs playing with the dominant male.
The Golden Boys could potentially steal many hearts with their unique look and impressive body size for their age. We are not 100% sure that they are in full charge of this pride seen with them but the Dominant male was definitely laying with the cubs and he looked really relaxed with them being around him and playing with him. I will do my best to get updates on the Golden Boys and show how they grow and live to leave a legendary Legacy.
