VN24 - Werne / Germany - On the A1 motorway a 40-tonne semi-trailer truck got out of control on Wednesday and hit the central crash barrier. The lorry, loaded with furniture, turned left, crossed two lanes, where fortunately there was no far-reaching accident, and then crashed into the crash barriers, where it ripped open the left-hand side diesel tank and dispersed dozens of litres in the ground and on the road. It came to a temporary full closure of the directional roadway Cologne, as well as a partial closure of the directional roadway Bremen. A tow truck had to pull the lorry out of the grass strip.
