How To Check Transmission Fluid Level On Honda CRV

Here is how to check the transmission fluid level on a Honda CRV.  This is a first generation Honda CRV with an automatic transmission.

1. Warm up the engine.
2. Park on a level surface.
3. Turn off the engine.
4. Immediately within a minute, remove the Honda CR-V transmission fluid dipstick and check the transmission fluid level.
5. Add transmission fluid as needed. It takes a quart to go from the low mark to the high mark.
6. Put the automatic transmission dipstick back into the transmission.
