"Incursion Red River" is a tactical cooperative extraction shooter set in a destabilized Vietnam engulfed in civil war and chaos. Players assume the role of contractors working for private military organizations that exploit the country's tumultuous state for profit. The game's backdrop involves Vietnam's historical defense against American forces with Soviet support, its prosperity, and subsequent vulnerability post-Soviet Union collapse. This leads to a geopolitical shift, exacerbated by Chinese interests and a covert conflict between the US and China, ultimately resulting in Vietnam's societal collapse and the rise of lawlessness driven by profit-seeking PMCs and militias. Gameplay involves teaming up with friends to complete contracts, purchase weapons and gear, and strategize with customized equipment for tactical advantages. The game emphasizes realism in combat dynamics and offers a single-player or cooperative multiplayer experience, along with a player hideout for preparations and inventory management.
