A series of videos about a journey along on the BAM, which was the construction site of the century, the most expensive and complex infrastructure facility in the USSR.
Severomuisk in the Republic of Buryatia, a small settlement "on the shore" of a large construction site - the Severomuisk tunnel. This tunnel is the longest railway tunnel in Russia, namely 15343 meters. It was built for 26 years because of the unimaginable complexity and vicissitudes of time.
The main station of the settlement of Severomuisk is Okusikan station, which is located at the eastern portal of the tunnel and it is 1370 km of BAM.
In addition to this famous tunnel, there is a bypass, which was widely used while the tunnel was under construction. On the same bypass there is a fairly well-known bridge with the popular name "Devil's Bridge".
Further along the way, we met the urban-type settlement of Taksimo. There were three patronage teams, they had different responsibilities: the Buryat ASSR, the Belarusian SSR, the Latvian SSR. Taksimo Station is 1469 km from BAM.
