I have tested the 3D Ken Burns Effect from a Single Image using Google Colab.

Everybody knows the Ken Burns effect, right. Well, this is the next big thing: the 3d Ken Burns effect. By computing a depth map from a single image (using AI) and clever inpainting of missing information (disocclusions), you can navigate anywhere in the induced 3d scene and make for compelling videos. Here, the camera path is an in-and-out zoom effect but you could also have a side-to-side panning.

I am not the author of the paper and I didn't implement anything, I just run the google colab python notebook with my own pictures and give my conclusions.
