A Bittersweet Moment: A Mother Holding Her Son Before He Passed Away

It's an unimaginable experience, holding your child for the very last time. It's something we never planned on, but life isn't always picture perfect. Nearly four years ago, I held my beautiful son one final time. After 55 days of life, he passed away in our arms. Parker was so beautiful and sweet, his wild blonde hair creating a signature look. He was known as the angel of our NICU pod, only 14 ounces at his smallest, but such a strong fighter.
