Hi. I'm Max Dalton, and in this video I'm going to talk through how to charge your JBL Flip 4 speaker.
The JBL Flip 4 speaker is a portable audio powerhouse that packs a healthy amount of punch for its small size. The speaker has an impressive battery life of roughly 12 hours, supports connecting multiple Bluetooth devices, can be connected to other JBL Bluetooth speakers, and is even waterproof. Charging your JBL Flip 4 Bluetooth speaker is a painless afair. All you need is a micro-USB cable and a good power source to connect the USB cable to.
Step 1. Locate the input cover on the back of the JBL Flip 4 speaker. The input cover appears to the right of the Power and Multi-Speaker Connect buttons, and says Flip 4 on it. Open the cover. This reveals inputs for a 3.5mm audio cable and a micro-USB cable.
Step 2. Connect the large end of the micro-USB cable to either a high-power USB port on your laptop or some other device, or to a USB power adapter that connects to a power outlet. Do not connect the cable to USB ports on a computer monitor, desk phone or other similar devices, as these are typically not high-power USB ports.
Step 3. Connect the small end of the micro-USB cable to the micro-USB input. The micro-USB input is the flatter of the two inputs. If you're having issues getting the cable you're using to connect, try using another micro-USB cable -- preferably the cable that came with the device. After the micro-USB cable is connected, you'll see the dots to the right of the Power icon light up to indicate the speaker's current charge level, and the final dot will be intermittently blinking. For example, if your battery has a low charge, you may see two lights light up, and the second one will be blinking. If no lights come on after connecting the micro-USB cable, connect the USB cable to a different power source. Alternatively, try a different micro-USB cable. The JBL Flip 4 speaker will be fully charged when all five dots to the right of the Power button are lit up and none of them are blinking.
