CAN I SMOKE IN NEVADA?
It depends where. Just because you can smoke in casinos does not mean you can smoke anywhere. Nevada has a "Clean Indoor Air Act" under NRS 202.2483, which makes it a misdemeanor to smoke in certain places such as:
-child care facilities,
-government buildings,
-mall and retail establishments,
-video arcades,
-movie theaters
-grocery stores,
-restaurants,
-hospitals, and
-school buildings
The penalty for violating Nevada's "no smoking" laws is up to 6 months in jail and/or up to $1,000 in fines.
