🔺How do an amusement park and the roller coaster manufacturer ensure that the roller coaster is always safe and well-maintained, and what is involved in the maintenance of a steel roller coaster? To find out, Vekoma Rides and Toverland open their doors, allowing us to witness the entire maintenance process! The Booster Bike at Toverland Amusement Park has been a crowd favorite for years, launching riders on a motorcycle to speeds of 75 km/h. While we've previously observed the maintenance of Troy, the park's wooden roller coaster, at Toverland, how does this differ from maintaining a steel roller coaster? At the Vekoma factory, the entire train is disassembled, and Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) is used to detect any hairline cracks in the steel of the roller coaster.
