In today's video, we take a look at the German AEG Vampyrette handheld vacuum cleaner, which has been produced in this shape and with a plastic housing since the early 1960s, and in 1962 it was awarded the iF Design Award. This particular device probably dates from either the end of the decade or even the early 1970s. I will try to show in detail the process of disassembly, cleaning and reassembly. There will also be a bit of history: the German concern AEG has played a huge role in the development of technology since the end of the 19th century, although its history also has a dark page from the times of World War II.
