EDIBLE SLIME / MARSHMALLOW SLIME + DIY MARSHMALLOWS!

Today we're making edible marshmallow slime too as well as homemade marshmallows!  If you didn’t realize that you can make your own marshmallows, you’re in for a treat!  These are free of corn syrup and SO fluffy!  Thank you to FloAndGrace.com for this yummy recipe!  Here is the link to their page: http://www.floandgrace.com/2012118map...

For the DIY Marshmallows, you will need:

1/3 cup, plus more as needed, corn starch, potato or arrowroot
1/2 cup cold WATER
2 teaspoons VANILLA EXTRACT
1/4 teaspoon fine SALT
2-1/2 to 3 tablespoons unflavored powdered GELATIN (for firmer marshmallows, use 3 T)
1 cup pure MAPLE SYRUP
1/8 teaspoon CREAM OF TARTAR (recommended but not necessary)
Food coloring (optional - see our Unicorn Hot Chocolate video to learn how to dye food pink WITHOUT artificial food dyes!)
Cooking thermometer
Beater or stand mixer
Greased and dusted baking dish

For the Marshmallow Slime, you will need:

1 cup mini marshmallows or 10 large
1 tablespoon oil (approximately)
1 tablespoon cocoa (optional)
Sprinkles (optional)
