How to tie an elastic bracelet?

To close an elastic bracelet, the ideal is to make a surgeon's knot. In this video, I show you how to calculate the number of beads for your bracelet and how to tie a knot for an elastic bracelet.

Here is the list of materials I used to make this bracelet. This is a basket saved on the site of perles and co. I also added the golden ring that I show at the end (affiliate link):

The elastic bracelet knot, also called a surgeon's knot, is a simple knot but instead of winding the threads once, they are wound twice. We repeat this knot two to three times and we tighten well. Then we put glue on the knot and slip the knot into one of the turquoise beads of the elastic bracelet.

It's a DIY that takes about 20 minutes to do. You can choose other pearl colors. Personally, I chose aqua green turquoise ceramic tube beads and 6 mm Amazonite beads. I had bought these tube beads during the summer sales on the site. The twisted golden bangle also comes from perles and co.

This video is episode 1 of a series of 4 DIY turquoise jewelry episodes. See you next week to discover the next jewel. In the meantime, feel free to check out my other videos!
